Bio

Hassan Homayoun currently is the Director of Artificial Intelligence Division at the Urology Research Center, Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Prior to that, he served Urology Research Center as a senior Artificial Intelligence Consultant for three years. Division of Artificial Intelligence specializes in developing Machine Learning methods for various biomedical problems including predictive diagnostic and prognostic models. Hassan graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Software Engineering) in 2010. He obtained his Masters Degree in Computer Science from University Technology Malaysia in 2013, and his PhD in Artificial Intelligence, in 2021. In his academic carrier, Hassan has taught mostly courses related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Computer Vision, and Computer Programming in different universities and institutes. His research interests and expertise includes Artificial Intelligence, Machine/Deep Learning, Machine Vision, and Biomedical Data Science. Hassan has also been involved in more than 10 research projects, many in collaboration with medical universities and medical industry. He has also authored over 25 journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters.
